Additionally, eBaum's World user mateusos shared the GIF on December 11th, 2012. That year, the GIF was shared on MemeCenter. That day, they posted a GIF of the scene, receiving more than 4,300 views in seven years (shown below).
The earliest known usage of the image as a meme was posted by KnowYourMeme user Mr. Almost simultaneously, Barney reappears behind Moe (clip below). Redditor ourobox posted one of the earliest examples with “whomst has awakened the ancient one” to r/dankmemes on November 9th, 2019, referencing the announcement of a new live-action Barney movie. The post (seen below) uses a cropped version of the photo as a reaction, receiving over 29,000 upvotes. One such example was posted on July 22nd, 2018, by Redditor CredibleSoap to the r/thanosdidnothingwrong sub.
